How Ecosystem IQ works

Sourced facts versus analysis

Revenue, fees, commits, releases, SIMD status, events, X profiles and forecasts are copied from the public source linked next to them. Scores, tiers, synergy, opportunity sizing, trip notes and development suggestions are Ecosystem IQ analysis. No figure, person or quote is invented. The site shows no simulated data today; if example data is ever added it will carry an Example label.

Sources

• DefiLlama fees and revenue API: protocol and chain fees, revenue, and DefiLlama's 1-month change, which compares the latest day with the same day a month earlier. That makes it noisy, so it carries a 25% weight in the investment score rather than more.
• GitHub REST API, read-only: commits, contributors, releases, issues and pull requests for tracked repos, plus the SIMD repository.
• X API v2 reads: profiles and recent posts for tracked projects and leaders, capped per scan to stay inside X rate limits.
• Luma public discovery: upcoming events that mention Solana.
• Open-Meteo: 7-day snowfall and temperature for the ski digest.

Tiers

All scores run 0 to 100. Tier cut points match Verafy Forecast ratings and letter grades match Verafy Bias Detector.

Investment score

Weights: revenue 35%, momentum 25%, activity 20%, dev 10%, reach 10%. Revenue and activity are log-scale percentiles among Solana projects. Momentum maps the 1-month revenue change from -50% (0) to +100% (100). A project below the median for revenue cannot score above 69, so small fast-growing projects do not outrank proven earners.

Foundation support score

Weights: activity 30%, dev 25%, momentum 15%, infra 20%, reach 10%. Infra rewards projects other teams build on, such as oracles, bridges, wallets and core clients. Missing inputs are dropped and the remaining weights rescaled.

Synergy score

Weights: fit 40%, scale 30%, momentum 20%, novelty 10%. Fit comes from a table of category pairs that complement each other, each with a written reason. Scale combines both sides' revenue, or X reach when revenue is missing. Novelty is 100 when no public post links the pair and lower when one does. Each project appears in at most three suggested pairs.
